The letters in the name Krishna – Ka, ra, sha, na and a – are interpreted as signifying glorious attributes of Krishna. ‘Ka’ represents “Kamala kanta“, Lord of Lakshmi. Other meanings given to the letter are: Kamaleswara and Kamala garbha (Various names of the Lord alluding to the Kamala or Lotus flower). He’s also known as Kamala-bandhavudu, Kinsman of the Lotus.
