By whatever means God is adored, the path of devotion is the easiest and the most effective, for it is a sadhana of the heart, and results in love and service to all as fellow pilgrims to the same Divine Goal. Some people do question the propriety of calling God by means of such a multiplicity of names. But each Name is indicative only of one aspect of Divinity. It denotes a single part of the Supreme Personality. The eye, the nose, the mouth, the hand or the finger may be denoted by distinct words, but they all belong to the same individual. So, too, one must remember that every Name is but a facet, a part, a ray, of the Supreme. The sadhana consists of recognising and becoming aware of the One that supports and sustains the many. Auf welche Weise auch immer Gott angebetet wird, der Weg der Hingabe ist der einfachste und effektivste, denn er ist ein Sadhana des Herzens und führt zu Liebe und Dienst an allen als Mitpilger zum selben göttlichen Ziel. Manche Menschen stellen die Angemessenheit in Frage, Gott mit einer solchen Vielzahl von Namen anzurufen. Aber jeder Name ist nur ein Hinweis auf einen Aspekt der Göttlichkeit. Er bezeichnet einen einzigen Teil der Höchsten Persönlichkeit. Das Auge, die Nase, der Mund, die Hand oder der Finger mögen mit verschiedenen Worten bezeichnet werden, aber sie gehören alle zu demselben Individuum. So muss man auch daran denken, dass jeder Name nur eine Facette, ein Teil, ein Strahl des Höchsten ist. Das Sadhana besteht darin, das Eine zu erkennen und sich dessen bewusst zu werden, das die vielen trägt und erhält. Das ist das kostbare Juwel der Weisheit, das man sichern und bewahren muss. – 14.
