We know that of all the animals in this world, to take birth as a human being is very difficult. Having attained this difficult human birth, we should not behave, at any time, like an animal. Think and take note of this aspect. The reason for this is mainly the kind of food we eat. The kind of food we take determines the behaviour we develop. If a tiger enters a herd of cows, then the cows cannot survive and live. So also, as in that analogy, in the heart of man, there are good and satwicqualities comparable to the qualities of a cow. If into that group of good qualities, we send in food represented by the rajasic qualities of a tiger, it is impossible for the good to survive. Similarly, if you put seeds in a land which is not fertile, the seeds are not going to sprout! So also in a man with rajasic qualities in his heart, satwic qualities like worshipfulness or compassion cannot thrive. It therefore becomes necessary for man to do things by which the field of his heart can be purified and cleansed. – Ch 10, Summer Showers 1976.

Wir wissen, dass es von allen Tieren auf dieser Welt sehr schwierig ist, als Mensch geboren zu werden. Wenn wir diese schwierige menschliche Geburt erreicht haben, sollten wir uns zu keiner Zeit wie ein Tier verhalten. Denkt darüber nach und nehmt diesen Aspekt zur Kenntnis. Der Grund dafür liegt hauptsächlich in der Art der Nahrung, die wir zu uns nehmen. Die Art der Nahrung, die wir zu uns nehmen, bestimmt das Verhalten, das wir entwickeln. Wenn ein Tiger eine Kuhherde angreift, können die Kühe nicht überleben und weiterleben. So verhält es sich auch im Herzen des Menschen, wo es gute und sattvische Eigenschaften gibt, die mit den Eigenschaften einer Kuh vergleichbar sind. Wenn wir in diese Gruppe guter Eigenschaften Nahrung in Form der rajasischen Eigenschaften eines Tigers einbringen, ist es unmöglich, dass das Gute überlebt. Ebenso verhält es sich, wenn man Samen in ein Land sät, das nicht fruchtbar ist: Die Samen werden nicht keimen! Ebenso können in einem Menschen mit rajasischen Eigenschaften in seinem Herzen sattvische Eigenschaften wie Verehrung oder Mitgefühl nicht gedeihen. Daher ist es für den Menschen notwendig, Dinge zu tun, durch die das Feld seines Herzens gereinigt und gesäubert werden kann. – Summer Showers 1976, Kapitel 10.

Sabemos que de todos los animales en este mundo, tomar nacimiento como un ser humano es muy difícil. Habiendo alcanzado este difícil nacimiento humano, no debemos comportarnos, en ningún momento, como un animal. Piensa y toma nota de este aspecto. La razón de esto es principalmente el tipo de comida que comemos. El tipo de comida que tomamos determina el comportamiento que desarrollamos. Si un tigre entra en un rebaño de vacas, éstas no podrán sobrevivir ni vivir. Así también, como en esa analogía, en el corazón del hombre hay cualidades buenas y satúricascomparables a las cualidades de una vaca. Si en ese grupo de cualidades buenas, enviamos comida representada por las cualidades rajásicas de un tigre, es imposible que lo bueno sobreviva. Del mismo modo, si pones semillas en una tierra que no es fértil, ¡las semillas no van a brotar! Así también en un hombre con cualidades rajásicas en su corazón, las cualidades sáttvicas como la adoración o la compasión no pueden prosperar. Por lo tanto, se hace necesario que el hombre haga cosas mediante las cuales el campo de su corazón pueda ser purificado y limpiado. – Cap. 10, Lluvias de verano 1976.
