You must cultivate love towards everyone, however distinct the character and capacity of each may be. Though the same blood flows through the entire body, the eye cannot smell, the ear cannot taste, and the nose cannot see. Do not over-emphasise the distinctions and quarrel. Emphasise the basic brotherhood and practise love. As sugar that has dissolved in the cup of water is invisible, but patent to the tongue in every drop, so too the Divine is invisible but immanent; capable of being experienced, in every individual, whether he is at the bottom or at the top. Do Namasmarana(repeated remembrance of the Lord); taste the sweetness that is in the heart of everyone, and dwell on His glory and compassion which those names summarise. Ihr müsst Liebe zu allen Menschen kultivieren, wie unterschiedlich der Charakter und die Fähigkeiten eines jeden auch sein mögen. Obwohl der ganze Körper vom gleichen Blut durchströmt wird, kann das Auge nicht riechen, das Ohr nicht schmecken und die Nase nicht sehen. Betont nicht zu sehr die Unterschiede und streitet euch nicht. Betont die grundlegende Brüderlichkeit und praktiziert die Liebe. So wie Zucker, der sich in einer Tasse Wasser aufgelöst hat, unsichtbar ist, aber in jedem Tropfen auf der Zunge spürbar ist, so ist auch das Göttliche unsichtbar, aber immanent; es kann in jedem Individuum erfahren werden, ob es sich nun ganz unten oder ganz oben befindet. Praktiziert Namasmarana (wiederholtes Gedenken an Gott); schmeckt die Süße, die im Herzen eines jeden ist, und verweilt in Seiner Herrlichkeit und Seinem Mitgefühl, die diese Namen zusammenfassen. Dann wird es euch leichter fallen, Ihn in allem zu vergegenwärtigen, Ihn in allem zu lieben und Ihn in allem zu verehren. – Sri Sathya Sai, 31. Juli 1967.
