Sai’s wealth is pure, selfless and boundless Love. This is the truth. It is not the edifices you see that are Sai’s wealth. It is pure, selfless Love alone. You must inherit this Love, fill yourselves with it and offer it to the world. This is your supreme responsibility as Sai devotees. What is it that you can offer to the Lord who is omnipotent, omnipresent and all-knowing? The various things you offer to God are given out of delusion. Can the Lord who permeates the Universe be confined in a temple? To One who has the effulgence of a billion suns, what lamp can you light? His truth is beyond the comprehension of Brahma and Hara. How can others comprehend Him? What name can be given to One who is all things? What food can you offer to One who holds the cosmos in His stomach? You become devoted for your own sake. Whatever the name or form in which you worship the Lord, He will respond. He is the provider of everything, who fulfils every wish. Whether the devotee is one in distress or craving for some object, or a seeker or a Jnani, God responds according to the measure of his devotion. – Divine Discourse, Nov 23, 1986.

Sais Reichtum ist reine, selbstlose und grenzenlose Liebe. Dies ist die Wahrheit. Es sind nicht die Gebäude, die ihr seht, die Sais Reichtum sind. Es ist die reine, selbstlose Liebe allein. Ihr müsst diese Liebe erben, euch mit ihr erfüllen und sie der Welt anbieten. Das ist eure oberste Verantwortung als Sai-Devotees. Was könnt ihr Gott, der allmächtig, allgegenwärtig und allwissend ist, anbieten? Die verschiedenen Dinge, die ihr Gott anbietet, sind aus der Verblendung heraus gegeben. Kann der Herr, der das Universum durchdringt, in einem Tempel eingeschlossen werden? Welches Licht könnt ihr für Einen anzünden, der den Glanz von einer Milliarde Sonnen hat? Seine Wahrheit liegt jenseits des Verständnisses von Brahma und Hara. Wie können andere Ihn begreifen? Welchen Namen kann man dem geben, der alles ist? Welche Nahrung könnt ihr dem anbieten, der den Kosmos in seinem Bauch hält? Ihr werdet um eurer selbst willen hingebungsvoll. Mit welchem Namen oder in welcher Gestalt ihr den Herrn auch immer verehrt, Er wird euch antworten. Er ist der Versorger von allem, der jeden Wunsch erfüllt. Ob der Gottgeweihte in Not ist oder sich nach einem Objekt sehnt, ob er ein Suchender oder ein Jnani ist, Gott antwortet je nach dem Maß seiner Hingabe. – Sri Sathya Sai, 23. November 1986.
