Analyse every object and discover the cheapness and hollowness of each. Then, genuine vairagya (detachment) will be planted in your heart. So, utilise the priceless weapon, the perfect mirror, that God has given you – the buddhi (intellect), for the journey to God. An old adage announces that ‘Buddhi is shaped by one’s actions’ – Buddhih karma anusarini. But this is not quite correct. The mind prompts the senses for action. It has the buddhi on one side and the senses on the other and is drawn by both into action. When the manas (mind) leans towards the senses, and activates them, bondage results; if it leans towards the intelligence (which is illuminated by the Atma), liberation results. Sometimes, the buddhi is enticed by the fake delight that the mind revels in, through the senses. Sadhana has to be used at this moment to turn it away from serfdom to the mind. Analysiert jedes Objekt und entdeckt die Billigkeit und Hohlheit eines jeden. Dann wird echte Vairagya (Losgelöstheit) in euer Herz gepflanzt werden. Nutzt also die unbezahlbare Waffe, den perfekten Spiegel, den Gott euch gegeben hat – die Buddhi (den Intellekt), für die Reise zu Gott. Ein altes Sprichwort besagt, dass „Buddhi durch die eigenen Handlungen geformt wird“ – Buddhih karma anusarini. Aber das ist nicht ganz richtig. Der Geist regt die Sinne zum Handeln an. Er hat die Buddhi auf der einen und die Sinne auf der anderen Seite und wird von beiden zum Handeln angeregt. Wenn sich der Manas (Geist) zu den Sinnen neigt und sie aktiviert, entsteht Knechtschaft; wenn er sich zur Intelligenz neigt (die vom Atman erleuchtet wird), entsteht Befreiung. Manchmal wird die Buddhi durch die falsche Freude, in der der Geist schwelgt, durch die Sinne verführt. In diesem Moment muss Sadhana eingesetzt werden, um sie aus der Knechtschaft des Verstandes herauszuholen.
